It would be, asking for trouble to disturb the harmony of relationships existing and furthermore would be doing away with that fine spirit of service which volunteer brigades created.* He was strongly supported by Cr Cre,eke who was warm in his praise for the local brigade men i and the standard of proficiency which they set. The Council decided to reply that it did not favour any change from the present, highly efficient and well-run system.
