PALMERSTON NORTH CORNER
Cheerio there all you I'almerston North sailors. How are you all getLiiiif or this wee;;? 1 received a very fat envelope yesterday from Palmerslon and L could hard I.y wait to open
it. You certainly scorn, to always have a lot of news to tell me about your cily, Well I see wc have- a new sailor signed on. Welcome Pe.ttr. lAm very glad to have you aboard the, Good Endeavour with us. There are quite a crew of you down in Palmcrston now and you all seem to be very good at tbe competitions, Sorry to hear your school lost both the basketball and football against Terrace End John. However, you probably g'ot a lot of fun out of tlie games and perhaps you will have better luck next time. Sorry to hear you have been sick Lynettc. I hope it will not recur. As the e,xams are on now Trevor I suppose you will- lie working hard. I hope you succeed in them. Thank you ] very much for the stamps Meg. I received them safely. By the way, [' sec some of you spotted the, line that was upside down in last week's column. 1 thought -I would put it the wrong way round just to sec if you were awake and noticed it. So far quite a few sailors have tokl me about it. A good sailor should have eyes like a hawk. I am glad to sec that most of you have. Glad to hear that Locky is all light now Pauline and that her leg wasn't broken. It upsets one when one's pets are sick doesn't it. I found that so when But.ins.ky had his leg broken a little while back. I have bought some more aspirins thank you Don so I am all set i'or the next bunch of competition answers when they come in. Well this week's winners are John Crawford and Lynettc Hall. Congratulations you two. Collect your prizes from Miss Whiteside. Sorry I could not give prizes to all you others too. The competitions you sent in were very good indeed. However, have a go at this week's. It should be, fairly simple to a good sailor. Well, cheerio till next week. P.T.W.
