THAT SPORTING INSTINCT
MAY we take this opportunity of congratulating those businessmen and others who so sportingly took the field last Saturday in order to make a successful public occasion in the interests of Basketball and Football. There can be no shadow of doubt but that the occasion brought many to the field who have not attended for years. The games themselves were of a surprisingly high standard, but better still the spirit of sporting goodwill was never absent, and it would be safe to say that the whole programme was thoroughly enjoyed by players and spectators alike. We sincerely hope that the novelty day will become an annual- fixture and that we will see many repetitions of the challenge matches by successive groups of players.
