Keep still and don't talk when a shot is being played. 2. Do not stand immediately behind a player, or on the line of his putt. 3. Move entirely off the green as soon as your match has holed out. If the hole is won before you have holed out, pull up your ball and move off unless playing for a medal score. 4. Never play into the match ahead, unless having therrigh t you have signalled them you will play through. 5. Provided *the re is a clear hole ahead of you, you must not clog the course if. the match, following you is waiting to go through, but beckon them to play through. Do the same in the event of a lost ball. Five minutes is the limit for searching for a lost ball. 6. When a match plays, through s'ou, do not resume play until they are out of range. Playing Tips R. A. Whitcombe says: The two most important things to do are:— 1. To take the club back direct behind the ball for about one foot before the up swing commences, and no higher than the right shoulder, which is the starting point for the down, swing. 2. The ball should be struck with the right wrist, using the left, as a guide through, and letting the club follow through as far as possible on the line of play, keeping the body back until the. club has passed- well beyond the ball. Rules Asking or willingly accepting advice from other than players side or caddies (excepting merely indicating line to green) in match play: Loss of ball, medal play, disqualified.
Ball Lost: Five minutes search alowed. One stroke. Drop another ball at point of last shot and play "two more" similarly for medal play.
