THE "GOOD ENDEAVOUR" LEAGUE FOR YOUNG READERS ONLY Aboard or the Goodwill Cruise

What ho, what ho, ma hearties. Well I had great fun with Pcterkin on Tuesday. Pcterkin was down fishing by himself (he often goes alone) when lie apparently caught a big crayfish. He pulled it out of the water find left it lying on the rock while he turned round to see if lie- could reach another. Now Peterkin lias only a very small stump of a tail but lie is very proud of it. Befoie he knew what had happened the crayfish had taken a firm hold of it with his nippers and was pinching it unmercifully. Peterkin could not reach round to undo himself so he just sat there and squealed. I heard the squeals from where I was sitting at the entrance to my cave in my favourite deck oliair and I immediately rushed inside to get my silver mounted, gold plated, ten extension, hand painted, rolled gold, jewelled in ten holes telescope and focused it on the spot where 1 Peterkin was. There Avas the huge crayfish, grinning with delight, and squeezing Peterkin's tail just as hard as he could. Of course. I immediately rushed down, but just before I got there the crayfish let go and giving a jump disappeared with a plop into the water. The result was that Peterkin was left with a very sore stern attachment, and no crayfish. He was: very wrath indeed. Well it is time I had alook at Futinleg again so I had better batten my hatches. See you all again next week. P.T.W.
