Breach of Rules The following players were disqualified for breach of Rule 4IE: Special for stroke, competitions: On day of the competition,, before starting, no competitor shall play on, or i on to any-of the putting greens,. nor '' shall he intentionally play at any hole of the stipulated round which is within his reach under penalty of disqualification. Burstall, Grey and Symmans in- ' fringed by playing on to the 18th green prior to starting off and consequently suffered disqualification. Owing to the stress of war, and the. petrol restrictions, thus pre-r venting players from travelling to and from the links for practise at any time, the Match Committee modifies this rule locally for ordinary stroke and bogey competitions, but where the stroke competition is for qualifying for any major or cup event, then Rule 411 was to be ( observed and enforced. ' Draw Following is the draw for the Fortune Cup:—King v Denham; Syme v Suckling; Moore v Bridger; Connell v Hyland; Steel v Milne; Combes v Dawson; Wright v Spence; Cradwick v Anderson. Following is the draw for the Founders Cup: Sloane v R. Morpeth; Patience v Luxton; Littlejohn v Cockerell: Powdrell v Armstrong; Cantrell v Stone; Corbett v Wilson; . Winstone v Butler; Bushett v Rangi. Conditions of play will be match play on handicap. Ball must be placed on the fairways except -on the mown part of and on the greens. President's Trophy The winner of the above trophy was L. King 97—28—69. He will also .suffer a reduction in handicap from' 28 to 25. Correction A review of the cards returned for the Four-ball Best-ball Bogey played the previous Saturday brings about an alteration in the placings ; of the winners. Anderson and' Wright displace Cradwick and Denham, the former pair leading thelatter by an extra win on bogey on the. home run, to put them a nose in front. The new order is: Anderson and Wright; Cradwick and Den-, ham; Morpeth and Spring all 1 up. Consolation Trophy The rest of the ciub will take part in handicap match play for the Consolation Trophy, the draw being by ballot and as follows: R. Butler v Grey; Spring v Dallas; Wyllie v Symmans; Campbell v Stewart; A. Morpeth v Burstall; Bullot v Wills; Turnbull v Braddock; Barry y Hen-, _ derson.
