Magazines by Plane
The United States magazines, Newsweek, Time and Yank are now distributed to American forces in the South Pacific area. Newsweek and Time are available 12 daj-s after their publication in America. These magazines are printed in Australia and are a facsimile of the editorial contents of the American publications. Each magazine is photographed page by page, and the negatives are. sent out by plane. Back to Peace Only 2 per cent of men discharged fjom Australia's lighting services are finding it difficult to adjust themselves to civilian life. One man started 12 different jobs before he found one which he could stick. Manpower officers say that the war has changed many outlooks. City men want jobs in the country and out-of-doors workers want city jobs. Disabled men are difficult, but are patiently encouraged to keep trying to get comfortably placed.
