DAIRY HEIFER PRICES RECENT DISTRICT'REALISATIONS The New Zealand Loan and Mer* cantile Agcncy Co., Ltd., report as follows on the special sale of dairy heifers held on account of Messrs Miller, Leather , and Hughes:—, The heifers for the most part were in good condition and showing well forward in calf although a number of them were on the small side. There was a total clearance under the hammer. The whole yarding con- x sisted of 158 head of springing heifers averaging £8. The following prices were realised: — Choice well grown 2 year Jersey and Jersey cross heifers, £9 15s to £10 ss; medium Jersey and Jersey cros heifers, £8 to £9 10s; small mid backward Jersey and Jersey "cross heifers, £6 10s to £7 15s; small yeatling Jersey heifers, £3 5s to £3 l'Gs» a
