Resumption of School

Along with all other District High Schools in the North Island, the Whakatane. School has commenced its second term. No doubt after the fortnight's interval both teachers and pupils feel totally refreshed and fit once more, to tacklie the vast qunntity of learning to be acquired during the next three months. Didi He Fall ? Glances of pity were cast by many of the passing townspeople, of Wha-< katane at a small fox terrier pup on Wednesday afternoon which was wet through and shivering with cold. It had obviously bccnt taking a swim in the river off the nearby "Old Wharf," but Avhether voluntary or involuntary is hard to say. Considering that the swimming season is well over., and not even dogs en.ioy a dip in cold weather, we imagine that the old question "Did he fa}[l or was he pushed?" would not be difficult to answer.
