MAORIS AND HOSPITAL
Sir, —In answer to your correspondent, H. Carr, I beg leave to point, out that any person who desires to do so can misconstrue an innocent remark by taking •what. suited their purpose from the context of the whole statement made by me 18 months ago with regard to the Maoris: using our hospital. What I did point out was that the. Maoris who at one time, could not be persuaded to enter the hospital were now going there is growing numbers and you would have to burn the building down to get them out of it again. I w r as pleased to see this, development and as one who lias consistently championed the Maoris in all things I leave your readers to judge for themselves. Yours etc., H. -C, McGREADY.
