Pursuant to Section 12 of the Local Elections and Polls' Act, 1925, I hereby give notice that the following person has been duly nominated as candidate for the office of Mayor for the Borough of Whakatane:— Brian Sweeney Barry and there being only one vacancy to be filled, I hereby declare the candidate so nominated to be duly elected.
