"THE MERRY WIDOW" NEW ZEALAND GIRL IN PLAY The. most spect'acular production in Italy so far is Lehar's operetta, "The Merry Widow/' now at Bari. The cast is headed ~*by the London favourites, Cyril Ritchard and Madge Elliott, and has -been partly recruited locally, and includes two New Zealand W.A.A.C.'s, Christine Farrer (Hamilton) and Pat Thomas (Masterton).
