The Australians Taught Them

How the Australians started up a two-up .school in a prisoner of war camp in Germany immediately after their arrival was described by Major G. H. Thompson in a talk to the New Plymouth Returned Services' Association. Hardly had they arrived when the Australians, made a circle, and the familiar cry could be heard. The German guards became interested and placed bets through agents among the prisoners. Then out. came the "double-headers" and the Germans lost every mark they had.
