Keeping in mind the Thousands of Boys that Avill be returning to these shores in the near future, be as liberal as you possibly can. It is desired to draAV attention of the public to some, of the provisions of the Meat Act, 1939 regarding the slaughtering of stock for sale for Human Consumption. Sections 45 and 46 of the Act prohibit (except as therein, provided) the slaughtering on any farm situated within six miles by the nearest road of any Abattoir District, Borough or ToAvn District, of stock intended for sale for Human Consumption. No appeals will be received after that date. The basis of appeals is as under:— (1) From any farmer who desires to obtain fertiliser for topdress- • ing purposes and Avho has -no allocation of fertiliser at present. (2) From any farmer Avho can show that by basing his fertiliser allocation on the two years ended 31st May 194,1, he was unduly penalised.
