SUPPLY OF MANPOWER
FARMERS APPLICATIONS
Following the announcement recently made by the Prime Minister on. manpower for farms, the Primary Production Council has been ..advised, that, arrangements have been made for the release of farmers and farm workers from the arm•ed forces. The necessity for the utmost effort 'in sustaining primary production is most urgent and every endeavour is being niade to overcome the shortage of experienced work-r-ers. The production from dairy farms is particularly desired and encouragement will be given to increase milking herds and the rearing of pigs. So that the labour can be placed where most needed, applicants are . asked to give, information regarding their programme of work for the . coming season. The procedure of securing labour is as follows: Apply to any money • order office for a form titled "Application for Farm Labour" N.S. 209. When it has been completed, it should be handed to the nearest district committeeman of the Council for his endorsement. The District Manpower Officer, Rotorua, 'is organising the releases >for this area.
