WHAKATANE DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL OIIAKAU'S LEADING The Whakatanc Domain was the scene of much activity on ihursday, April 6', Avhcn tiic Whakatanc District High School Annual Athletic Sports meeting was held favoured by first class -weather. The programme was run ofl well to time, and there was no lack of competitors for the. various events, which resulted in some very close finishes. House points were awarded for first, second and third places, and at the close of the day, Orakau house was in the lead. The boys annual steeplechase, whi-ch also counts towards house points will be run off later in the year.
