GIRL DODGERS

MIND TEST ADVOCATED PHYCHOLOGICAL ILLNESS The London Council of the. Magistrate's Association has sent a recommendation that all young women who have failed to comply with the Ministry's directions should be psychologically examined before they are prosecuted. "In many of these cases," says the magistrate,, "the. attachment to> parents and home is so strong that to interfere with it may cause a definite psychological illness." A leading psychologist told a Daily Mail reporter that he hoped the Ministry of Labour would givfc this recommendation their full consideration. "It is a far greater blow to young women to be made to leave home than young men," he said. "I strongly believe that no young woman should be sent to prison without both a medical and psychological examination."
