The life of a lien is valuable, .and not to be regarded lightly. Anyway one resident certainly .thought so. On Friday morning, he was somewhat staggered to find his fowl run under water, and the inmates, not being built for aquatics, were definitely not performing like OJym-. pic champions. Consequently our poultry enthusiast plunged into the torrent, swam across his backyard and succeeded in dragging his feathered pets to the edge of the "lake." Now he was faced with difficulties; There; was nowhere to put them exccut inside, so—inside they went. There were choo'ks everywhere. They were on the bed. rail ; on the backs of chairs, on the dining room table. Some of the half drowned ones were even placed in the oven to revive. In fact the house itself looked like a hen house—we'll bet lie felt hen peeked.
