Lightning Sketches

One of the. best exhibitions of lightning sketching, given by that popular local artist, Mr Hans Hauesler, took place during the complimentary "smoko' tendered to the men on leave., in the Caledonian Hall. On this occasion Mr Hauesler adopted a more original role than is his wont by dressing up in checks and bowler hat in pursuance of the best traditions of the Parisian Latin quarter and proceeding to give Ills audience, a running palter on the swiftly ercatcd sketches. The whole performance was* thoroughly enjoyed and our local, artist received a lustier hand than usual he bowed himself off.
