Baconers
Proof, of the fine baconers grown in the Bay of Plenty can be seen in a photograph in the window of the florist's at the lower end of the Stran<?. The photo was taken at West field, and .shows the fine selection of baconers from the Bay of Plenty which were entered for the "Tomoana Baconcr Competition" on the first of November Jast year. This competition, which was the. North Island Grand Championship was won Jby Mr Cope, of Whitiord, with a -team of four pure large whites.
