"FOUNDERS DAY"
» SCOUT AND GUIDE PARADE CEREMONY NEXT SUNDAY It is anticipated tliat something like 200 Scouts, Guides, Cubs ancl Brownies together with other inter? ested youth organisations will take part in the Founders Day parade which is timed for 2 p.m. 011 Sunday next at the Pohaturoa Rock. The Revs. J. G. Laughton, H. Hogg, J. C. J. Wilson and G. V. Thomas will take. part, in the service which will he held in approximately the same position as the town's celebrated Anzac Day service. The troops taking part will be the Scottish, Awakeri and Citizens Scout troops, the Cub Pack and Brownies, the Girl Guide Company and the A.T.C. and John' Cadets.* The service will also include the dedication of four flags, one from each of the senior troops; which will bo performed by the very Rev. J. G. Laughton and will be. followed by -3 march past of all units witli the salute being taken by the Guide and Scout Commissioners.
