Advice has been received by Mrs! Eric J. Patterson that her husband, Flight Sergeant E. J. Patterson, has befcn granted a commission 'n the R.N.Z.A.F. Pilot Officer Patterson is the only son of Mr and Mrs E. J. H. Patterson, 31 Goulstpne Road, Whakatane. After gaining liis wings in New 7 Zealand he left l'or England in April, 1943.
