ENTERTAINMENTS PLANNED RECEPTION AND SMOKE: CONCERT Men of the second furlough -draft will be the guests of the •citizens of Whakatane at a snfyvke concert, to be staged on the evening of Saturday* 26th instant. This function will be planned on much the same lines .as the last imminently successful gathering in the Caledonian Hall. In addition to this there is also the prospect of the country centres each honouring their own individual men in a fitting manner. Arrangements are also proceeding for the civic reception on Saturday 26th, when the usual parade d|)\vn the Strand will take place. There are rumours also of a more social aspect in the town when it is understood a special 'Welcome Home' dance will be* staged.
