UNFORTUNATE ACCIDENT
COUNCIL EMPLOYEE'S INJURY
COMPOUND ARM FRACTURE #.
An unfortunate accident occurred at the Borough Council Works Depot at 5 p.m. on Friday when Mr 11. Ivissling an employee of 7 Jiany years standing, suffered a compound fracture of the right arm and painful injuries to his, right leg.
The accident occurred, through a heavy .sliding door,, "which Mr Kissling was closing, jumping the rails and striking liira as it fell. He was admitted to the Wliakatane Hospital shortly after the . accident, where his condition is now reported to be satisfactory.

BOROUGH COUNCIL'S DECISION
Discussing the accident to Mr Ivissling hist evening at the meet-, ing of the Wliakatane Borough Council the Glcrk reported, that under ordinary compensation lie would be on two-thirds pay.
"Henry Ivissling has been in the service of the Borough for the past 25 or 30 years," said Cr W. Sullivan, "and -I think that we have never had a better or more capable; workman. He has stuck lo us through the years and I think we could, well afford to pay him his full wages and review the position next month." ■
Cr Canning seconded and the mo lion was carried unanimously.
