RE ST. JOHN'S HALL
(To the Editor) Sir,—in your recent issues the County Council and Harbour Board have both stressed the point of sev-* cral local organisations combining together and building one hall. This is a good idea but cannot possibly be applied as Jar as St. Johns is concerned. We . are endeavouring to build a hall and Ambulance station. This building will be in constant use for Brigade activities four nights per week and .if we are holding First Aid lectures and classes the rest of the week will be fully utilised for these classes. Under these circumstances anyone can see that as far as St. Johns are concerned a building is required tor its own purposes alone. I hope this Will assist to clear away any doubts that may have arisen as to the St. Johns Association only requiring a building for one or two nights per week. I trust the local bodies concerned and the general public will fully appreciate the position. Yours etc.,, E. J. RAMSON, Superintendent, St. Johns Ambulance Brigade.
