CO-OPERATION SUGGESTED
PROPOSED ST. JOHN HALL
110DHKS SHOULD UNITE;
seems a pity that there should not be slome way of amalgamating all the organisations requiring a hall," said Cr W. A. McCracken at the County Council meeting last Tuesday when a letter from the St. John Ambulance Association was received appealing for fundls. He went on to say that the build>ings were often erected, only to be used once a week or a fortnight, and if those groups who desired halls were to get together and build by a united effort it would be a mol'e economical business to arrange alternate usage of the building. The council was in full sympathy with the St. John movement, which was described by the chairman as being worthy of the council's practical consideration. It was decided that the council was in sympathy with the; application but that the Association be requested to supply particulars of estimated cost and plans of proposed building, where, building to be erected and funds in hand for the project. Cr McGougan: The object is a most worthy one, and I know the hall 'is badly needed. The ch airmail: We recognise that.
