SCOUT FELLOWSHIP
SEVENTY-two husky boys from all parts of the Eastern Bay continue to create a communal atmosphere of their own on the shores of Lake Rotoma. The camp which has been visited by many prominent residents is probably one of the finest efforts yet made to bring the youth of many districts together on a common basis of training and understanding. Friendships, perhaps for a life time, are being made and the whole ideal of the Scouting code fully exemplified in a manner which leaves no room for criticism or improvement.

Boats for Troops on Leave A licet of small boats to be sent for the use of New Zealand troops 011 leave in the. Pacific is being formed in Auckland, the effort to assemble the boats having begun six months ago. Boats wanted are of a small type;, easy to (handle, and ship. So far 12 have been obtained from the WaUemata Harbour and put in good sailing condition. Contributions towards the cost are being raised largely by social functions.
