Radio in Schools
A striking illustration of the great use that could be made of radio for educational purposes in schools was given in a letter received by Mr W. S. Cato, of Te Kuiti, from his brother, Mr R. H. Cato, Czeehoslova'kian Consul for South Australia. Mr Cato said that he .'poke to -HQ 000 children throughout South Australia over the air thanking them for a .subscription of £250 made to the Chechoslovakian Red Cross. Each school was equipped with a radio and work was suspended for only a quarter of an hour for the address.
