Planting by the moon, which has been claimed bv< majiy gardeners to be conducive to favourable plant growth, has been tested by exact scicntific experiments carried, out by research institutions of international standing in recent years. The results of the experiments - , which are described in the report of the Australian Association of Scientific Workers, demonstrated that sowing of seeds in good conditions of soil and weather wi'.l always; give good results, while sowing by the moon will convey no advantage, and may result in a sacrifice of some of the •jroven advantages of good soil andwea ther cosiditioas,
