BOY WALKS AGAIN
EIGHT YEARS IN HOSPITAL Lionel Morris aged 14, of. Ashfield, Sydney, who lias spent eight years in Western Suburbs Hospital, can now walk l'or the lirst time in th ree years.. When Jve was six years, old lie Avas hanging on the rear of a car 110 C far from Western Suburbs Hospital. As: the car gathered speed he lost his balance. Avas dragged for about 30 yards, then lost his grip and struck his chin on the ground. He suffered no after-effects, until later in the day. Avhen his limbs began shaking and he fell to tha ground. From then he had no control over his muxcles; his legs and arms shook continually, and lie suffered from convulsions. three years he has been able only to crawl' round. A number of operations were performed and a portion of the brain removed.
