THE "GOOD ENDEAVOUR" LEAGUE
What ho, what ho, ma hearties. Here i.s Christmas round once again and the Editor tells me that as you are breaking up school before next Friday he. will have to do what he has done in the past and close down the 'column' till the holidays are over. T don't know whether that is necessary at all, because you see I enjpy writing tlie page and I kmnv tliat my good old crew e.njov reading it. Still Aye can't argue with Editors, can we? They always have the last say when the paper comes out (careful Peter, careful Ed.) Well at any rate II can only wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy,, Happy, Happy New Year. I, wish you lots of joy at Christmas which after all is better than a lot of presents and I also trust that you will not forget to help mother when you are home. In these days mothers have far more to think and worry about than you little people know. How r do I know? Well don't T do'my own housekeeping and have to spin out my sugar and butter ration. Why! at any rate all the very hcvsi till next New Year and then I expect tos e you all home again and entering for the competitions once more.
