Information has been received by Constable. Thomassen of Whakatarie, tliat lie lias boon transferred to Taneatua where lie will succeed (Nonstable O. Rice, ay ho has. been transferred to Hamilton. Before the commencement of tlie ordinary business at. last Monday's meeting of the Borough Council, the Mavol*, Mr J?. S. Barry, mentioned the death overseas of Spr J. E. Mulholland. .son of Gr and Mrs J. (I. Mulholland, and requested all councillors to stand jn silence as a gesture of sympathy.
