MEDICAL SUPPLIES
PROPERTY OF E.P.S
QUESTION OF DISPOSAL
Writing the Whakatane County Council the Secretary, Eastern Bay of Plenty Centre, Red Cross Society stated that in discussing post-war reconstruction at the last meeting of the Society and in view of. the limitation of E.P.S. activities, it was decided to ask that in the event of disbandment of the E.P.S., control of medical supplies should be given to the Red Cross Society.
lit was realised that there is a possibility of epidemics both here and overseas, and it was felt that the Red Cross, with its local as well as international organisation was best able to use the medical supplies to the greatest extent and benefit. The Council was asked for its opinion in this matter.
After a brief discussion it was decided that when the Whakatane County E.P.S. medical sections are disbanded, favourable consideration be. given to the application.
