''Tarzan Triumphs, 7 ' first of a new scries of films produced by Sol Les-r sur and, starring Johnny Wcissmullcr, far surpasses its predecessors from the standpoint of thrills, romance. and human interest. A rousting reception is expected for this film when it makes its first New Zealand screenings at the Regent on Saturday and Monday next. 1.,n "Tar-; zan Triumphs," Weissmuller has two novel experiences. First he counters the dangers of modern warfare, and second.y he has a new leading liuly., lovely Frances Gilford, who portrays "Zandra," a beautiful jungle queen. She interprets the part with amazing ease and provides a particular eyeful for male audiences. Meeting with his usual jungle hazards. Tarzan gets an additional, taste of danger when he witnesses the invasion of his African realm by German parachute troopers. His first reaction is that of an isolationist, but it changes quickly when lie is persuaded by Zandra and his own son that such a policy does not pay. Climaxes are plentiful when Tarzan actually goes on the war-, path. The movie hits hard when he relates the simple words, ''Tarzan make war."
