BOBBY CALVES

INCREASE ON LAST YEAR

18,320 FOR SEASON

The. bobby calves c6llected by the Rangitaiki pool for the present season numbered 18,320 against 18,010 for the 1942 season. The 280- increase speaks well for the industry, while our informant also states that due to late calving which is fairly prevalent this year there, are still likely lo be many more calves coming forward which will build up the present figures considerably. For the month of November 1489 calves were collected this year against 1353 for the. same month last year.
