A Winning Ped'igree Tweedsmuir. winner of the King George Handicap is by Mr Standfast —Fan Dancer by Whirlwind, from Cool Lass, by Cooltrim (Australia). The best representatives of Whir]-, wind in the Auckland province were Mazir. Gay Rosette, Gay Lally and Whirling. For New Zealand Cup Mr W. S. Goosman'.s Representative and Expanse were sent down to Riecarton last week, the mission of the first named being the New Zealand Cup,, which in 1910 was won by his lull brother, Serenata. His first requirement on the southern course will be to get used to the left-handed going, but having been on the scene early this should not present a serious difficulty. Expanse is a New Zealand Derby candidate. A Return to the Tracks Mr N. Grafas' Foxbridge. gelding. Esquire., after a lengthy spell at To Rapa. has again joined the ranks of the Mataniata track workers. A Successful Family Corporal,, a three year old by Mr Standfast —Lagoon, is now included in R. Sprinting Brilliantly Killarney Boy, a half brother by Salero, to Duncannon, avill be racing at the New Zealand Cup meeting. He has been sprinting brilliantly at New Plymouth with Clarice as a companion. Showing Improvement Miss (ray. trained by J. 11. Wallace: "at Takanini,, ran a fair race at the Avondale meeting,, and. since then has shown distinct improvement in her track work.
