The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Pilot Officer White and, partner. During the evening Mr J. L. Burnett, on behalf of all present, called on the guest to come forward and accept an envelope, and its contents as a small appreciation of what he had done during the past two years. The speaker mentioned that it was wonderful to be able to welcome the men home; but. there was the sad side also, as many would never return. The guest of honour suitably responded, thanking all for the gift and the evening, and saying he was pleased to be back. He considered himself very lucky to have come through it all.

All joined in singing "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow." Dancing continued till a late hour and the National Anthem closed the function.
