Kiwi Seen Near Waihi Comparatively few New Zealanders have seen a live kiwi, but this experience, was .shared by Messrs. A. Valentine and K. N. Crisp, of Waihi.. when walking along the bush track at Homunga, between Orokawa and Mataora recently. The bird, which appeared to be fully grown and in good health, was come across pecking at a rotten log, doubt-, less in search of grubs.
