OBITUARY
MRS HARRIET MOODY
The death took place in Whakaiano on Saturday of Mrs Harriet
M'oodv. wife of the late Mr W
Moody, in her 80th year,, after a long illness. .Mrs Moody, whose maiden name "was Harriet Ball, was the iirst white'woman born in Tauranga. She spent most of her early days in Opotiki and had many thrilling experiences in this district. She married when 18 years of age and look up residence in Whakatane where .she lias .lived ever since.
/J he late Mrs Moody is .survived by four daughters and one son. the oilier soi>. Mr William Hoy Moody having been killed in the Great War. The daughters, are Mrs Joe Addison (Waimana), Mrs. C. 11. Christensen (Whakalane), Mrs Arthur Young (Opotiki), and Mrs E. Young (Opotiki). The .son is Mr Ellis Moody of the. staff of the Union Bank,, Napier. There arc .six grand-children and 20 great grand-, children.
