WORKMAN LOSES AN EYE

ACCIDENT AT BREWERY

When a bottle exploded while he was- leaning over a crate of beer ut the Paeroa Brewery., Mr W. Bain of Tirohnv suffered a painful, and serious accident resulting jn the loss of hi.s right eye. The accident occurred, last week, a fragment of glass from the bottle striking Mr Bain ;iusl below the eye indicting a cut. After receiving first aid treatment i'i Paeroa. Mr Bain was taken to theThames Hospital and, later to Hamilton where an operation was performed, the eye being removed.
