THE "GOOD ENDEAVOUR" LEAGUE
What ho what ho, ma hearties. Sorry I missed last -\vee'l< but the Jiditor said it was impossible to get I the page, worked in so 1 just had to abide by his decision. Never mind we'll make up for it this time by giving you as much brightness- as possible. I must say that this spring weather leaves me listless and tired. It is so oppressively hot that even iriend Butin.sky stands, quite still in i the sun or stretches his ungainly length on the bracken and just basks the * hours away. The only one who docs not seem to mind, is little Peterkin. He of course spends most of his time in the wa-ter and you would be surprised at the size of the fish he catches. Real whoppers they arc. It takes liim nearly all his strength to drag them up the. hill to show them to me. Yesterday he had a schnapper which weighed .just over three pounds. Pretty good for a little chap, don't you think. He only ate a little and seemed to Avant to give the rest to me. But as; you may guess—I wasn't having any.
