A wedding of Whakat'anc district interest Avas solemnised at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Te Awamutu, on Saturday, 2nd October by the Rev. Stoc'kwcll, when Jacqucline Olive Joyce, onlA 7 daughter of Mr and Mrs D. G. Robinson, of Te Awamutu, was married to John Ewart, eldest son of Mr and Mrs G. Old, of New Plymouth and. lately of Taneatua.
[ As the bride entered the church AA r it.h her father, she looked charming in a beautiful goAvn of embossed satin, her veil being held in place by a spray of white orchids and she carried a bouquet of orchids, cherry blossoms and maiden hair fern. Attending the bride Avas Miss Margaret Harding, dressed. !in teal lace and carrying a bouquet of anemones,, red ranunculus and maiden hair fern. Mr C. L. Rose, brother-in-laAv of the bridegroom, attended as hest man. Messrs K. Rickit and G. Rollitt Avere the ushers, and Mrs Gordon the organist. After the ceremony, at a reception held in the Regent Lounge, Mrs Robinson received her guests wearing a naA'y blue frock. Her bouquet AA r as of anemones and cyclamen. Mrs Old, mother of the bridegroom, Avore a navy and Avhite frock and carricd a scarlet spray. Leter when Mr and Mrs J. E. Old left on their honeymoon, the bride travelled "in a grey frock and camel hair coat Avith navy accessories.
