COLLINS SHIELD PLAY In the first game for the Collins Shield Whakatane United met Air Training Corps at the Domain under overcast conditions. Maurice Duly opened with a useful 18 runs. The A.T.C. boys settled down more in their second innings and totalled IS before closing their innings. N. Butler played a steady knock for 12 runs. The match finished at 2.31) p.m. w'ith a six point win to Whakatane United by an innings and. 86 runs.
