MR SULLIVAN'S MAJORITY INCREASED
SOLDIERS' VOTES EXCLUDED
The official count 'in connection with the Bay of Plenty general election was concluded close to midnight on Wednesday. Soldiers' votes were excluded in the official count and will be added when the final result is given. The count at the various booths on election night was found to be very accurate, there being a difference of only two for Mr SulWvan in the official count and about live for Mr .Tonasen. With the addition of the soldiers' votes it is; expected that Mr Sullivan's majority will lie slightly higher than at the by-elec-tion two years ago. The official count showed the following position:— Mr W. W. Jonasen 3182 Mr W. Sullivan ,4.702 Informal 52 Majority for Sullivan 1580 Tt is thought that, the final figures including the soldiers' votes will be available this week.
