THE VOICE THAT INSPIRES
RESTIVE factions in the English House of Commons have once again been quietened by the inspiring personality of our great war-time leader, the Right Hon. Winston Churchill, who directed a two hour address to- members when he opened the war debate on Wednesday. Once again the Empire's man of the hour hid nothing from his audience, pointing out that the bloodiest battles as far as Great Britain was concerned still lay ahead. The Prime Minister by his open, frank explanation of the war position has silenced critics, has given new confidence to the nation, and has broadcast to the world at large a reflex of the new optimism that is apparently pervading the Allied war Council and lending increasing faith to the newly formulated plans of offensive which are destined to take place in the near future.
