English Paper in Iceland
We have been handed a copy of the only Kngish paper printed in Iceland, by M.r L. Webster of Thornton. The paper is issued for the benefit of the members of. the. garrison force of British, .soldiers who will apparently be there for the duration. Though mainly devoted to news of the Avar,, the paper also gives an 'indication of the wonderful goodwill which prevails between the Icelandic people and the 'Tommies.' The advertisements are few and far between and relate mainly to fish and chip shops and places* of. amusement.
