QUOTA FROM WHAKATANE

OCTOBER CHRISTMAS PACK

In his report to the annual meeting of tilc Wlia'katane Patriotic Committee the secretary, Mr C. G. Lucas, slated that the last gift parcel quota was consigned from Wliakatane on July 1. For this pack, Ruatoki pareels to the number of 18 had 3 T et to be received. The current pack avhs supposed to have been consigned in August, but the delay lias been occasioned through the tinned, commodities nob having been released by the Food Controller. Tinned articles lor next month's pack have been ordered and committees will be advised as soon as. the' commodities are received. Committees will note that the October Christmas pack allocation shows an increa.se and that a further increase in the parcel pack is shown for the 1944 parcels. It is requested that the 1944 parcels reach. Wellington on. the 15th of the following monthsFebruary, April, July and October.
