WAIMANA ELECTORS
MR W. SULLIVAN'S ADDRESS LA KG 1-: ATTENDANCE Mr W. Sullivan, M.P. for tin Bay of Plenty, continued the Nationalist campaign by addressing electors in the Waimana Hall last Friday evening. Mr J. L. Burnett was in the chair and introduced Mr Sullivan. There was a large attendh ;u'cc of electors, and Mr Sullivan received a very good hearing. On rising lo speak Mr Sullivan was given a rousing applause by acclamation. The speaker stated it had been a great pleasure to represent the district in the past two years, and thanked the electors for their support at the ] 9-1.1 by-elect ton, and felt sure their support would lie greater at the general election. The candidate gave a most instructive and inspiring address on tlie National Party's policy, but lime would noa permit a detailed statement of the policy. At the conclusion of the address the. chairman invited questions, and these were asked concerning manures for farm land. Mr Sull.iVan stated everything possible would be done to .supply the farmers with fertilisers, as soon as possible and with as much as they could procure. Mr J. Mitchell then moved a vote of confidence in the National Party, its leader (Mr Holland) and Mr Sullivan which was carried by acclamation. Mr Sullivan in returning thanks eulogised, the quality of the National Parlj' leader. A vote of thanks to the chair closed a most successful meeti-ig.
