INCIDENT IN BRITAIN CO XV K: T DFPOIITI NG LAW .After Japan entered the war members of .Australian forostiw units working in Britain found this notice: — •"Persons throwing stones in this pond will be transported to Australia." They threw stones until tbeir arms ached., but iL was no go! The notice was over 100 years old, and the law Avas mute. But most of this "Lost Legion is back now, alter three years' absence. Superb axemen, they dominated the competitive wood-chops organised over there by the Liitish Ministry of Supply. After a week's chopping then-week-end relaxation was commando training. Now they arc longing to get their axes into some, really decent Australion timber after so much spruce, ash, larch. Scottish pine and beech.
