ENJOYABLE SOCIAL EVENING
PRESENTATION OF MEDALS
•One of those happy informal social evenings took place, last 1 hu.rsdav when members of the Hoys Band staged a gathering with their parents in order to mark the presentation of good conduct and attendance medals to the winners.
Items were contributed by the band in its usual rousing style and at a suitable interval, Mr A. J. Canning presented the Jarret medal to Garry Skelton for best attendance. Mr A. C. Sutherland (Band President) presented the. Canning medal to R., Woods for good conduct. Both recipients were warmly applauded. Mr C. A. Suckling speaking as a visitor complimented, the band on the progress it had made and also congratulated the instructor. Mr Jarret and the committee for their interest and public spiritedness. Supper concluded, a very happy gathering.
